I Love 69 Popgejů // Piča z Hoven: LIDUMIL HERETIK

IL69PGŮ existují od roku 2001. Reprezentují vysoké a nízké. Pro jednoho apokalyptický dance, pro druhého disaster nuDisco, stále však maják v bahně. V roce 2011 vydali debutový vinyl Let’s Gold Corridor, který shrnoval jejich předchozí činnost. „Electropunkoví teroristé I Love 69 Popgejů na svém debutu stvořili jednu z nejoriginálnějších domácích desek za poslední dobu. Je ale celkem pravděpodobné, že první setkání s ní by mohlo nepřipravenému posluchači přivodit menší duševní šok.“ (Karel Veselý, Nový prostor, 2011). „Nejlepší česká kapela, která ještě nedostala žádnou cenu. Popgejové se kymácejí někde na vratké hranici mezi špatně skrývaným šílenstvím, nezapíraným podléháním hypnotizačnímu efektu mainstreamu a punkovým „fuck off!“ vmeteným do tváře všem, jejichž mozky kolonizoval fiktivní předobraz globální hvězdy.“ (z pozvánky na koncert PGŮ organizovaný pražskou A2, 2012). Teď jsou Popgejů zpátky v plné síle s novými skladbami, po kterých je začnete brát vážně. // IL69PG’s permeated the music scene since 2001. They represent nobility and the riff raff in a single embodiment. Someone call their expression as an apocalyptic dance, someone disaster Nu Disco, but for all of them, PG’s are the light at the end of the tunnel. In 2011, on the release of their debut vinyl “Let’s Gold Corridor”, they poured out uncompromising auditory time bomb summarizing their artistic growth. “Debut album of the electro-punk ‘terrorists’ I Love 69 Popgejů is one of the most original musical event of the last decade. However, it’s highly likely that unprepared noobie might be exposed to a decent nervous breakdown.” (Karel Veselý, Nový prostor, 2011). “ The best Czech act, which has never received any music award. PG’s tottering on the fluffy footbridge between poorly concealed insanity, admitted submission of the mainstream hypnosis and punk’s: ‘Fuck off!’, spitted to the faces of those, who have brain colonized by the fictive archetype of the global superstar.” (snatch from the PG’s venue invitation, organized by Czech magazine A2, Prague, 2012). Well, I Love 69 Popgejů are back now, with a new album. Album, that doesn’t leave any shadows of doubts on our pure souls about how seriously we should take them.

 

Konceptuální a, i přes název, slušná kapela ◊►≈ vydala své první album Doom na kraji lesa v roce 2012. „Ačkoli to z názvu kapely, který by se hodil spíš na křupanskou zábavovku, není patrné, debut PzH zní mimořádně seriózně, koncentrovaně a na úrovni. Zásadní plus, které PzH povyšuje nad zástupy internetové produkce, jsou české texty. Zranitelným dívčím hláskem podané brutality.“ (Pavel Turek, Respekt, 2012). A wiki doplňuje: „… značný ohlas vzbudila zejména jejich cover verze slovenské státní hymny s českým textem, která jim přinesla slávu ve východním zahraničí.“ Svou temnou elektroniku sami označují jako doom pop. „V rádiach je nehrávajú, možno preto, že si myslia, že budú prekliatí“, (z pozvánky na koncert PzH v bratislavské A4). // A conceptual and, in spite of their name, a decent band PZH released their debut album “Doom na kraji lesa/ The Doom on the Edge of the Forest” in 2012. “Although, the band’s name would suit a redneck rally better, PZH debut sounds extremely gravelly, strenuous and classy. Fundamental advantage of PZH is that they overpower usual awkwardness of the mainstream internet production because of their lyrics in Czech language. A vulnerable girly voice screaming brutalities.” (Pavel Turek, Respekt, 2012). Wiki adds: “…a considerable attention has been drawn particularly by their cover version of the Slovak National Anthem in Czech language, which bring them popularity in the Eastern ‘foreign countries’.” “They are not played in a radio stations, perhaps because DJ’s think they’ll be cursed.“ (snatch from the PZH’s invitation, organized by A4, Bratislava). PZH describe their dark electronic sound as ‘Doom Pop’.

Oběma skupinám je společný přesah z audia do vizuálu resp. jejich prolínání, stírání hranic ironie, absurdu, dramatu a patosu, smysl pro nadstavbu a to, že v určitých kruzích československé scénky vyvolají nelibost či pohrdání. // Both bands share together an overlap between audio and video – it’s blending, blurring of boundaries, irony, absurdity, drama and pathos. They even share resemblance of being hated and resented in certain circles of the ‘Czechoslovakian music scene’.
